Higher Ground July `07

Does anyone of you remember what was the message about last Higher Ground Session held in Kuantan Baptist Church (KBC) for the month of July? [i doubt it]

Therefore I shall be the one to kick ya'll in the butt refresh your memory:

Brother Raj mentioned a familiar character in the bible: Joseph the dreamer [well that's what I call him]
Speaking of which, in Genesis 37, it mentions that Joseph had a dream and he told the dream to his envious brothers and because Joseph is the apple of the eye of his father, the brothers decided to exile him by selling him to the Midianites [d] and they in return sold him to Potiphar.

Joseph went from one bad thing after another, after his brothers sold him, he ends up in a mess with the Egyptians and then Pharaoh himself and then and so forth . . .

Joseph remained faithful despite being in a least comfortable place to spend a night or a more, and for his faithfulness he held on to God's promises.

Joseph persevered despite all the hardship banging him on the head head on, it is very difficult to persevere; and the hardest is when one of our loved ones passed on, that would be the hardest for one to hold on to sanity because you won't be listening to that person's mumbling grumbling talking nor even see him/her. Joseph persevered despite being accused and having the hangman's noose on him next.

Pharaoh had a dream: and this dream, all the magicians and wise men in Egypt couldn't encrypt it...all except Joseph! And because of that ability that Joseph has, the Pharaoh spared Joseph from any sentence on him and made him second in command.

Genesis 41:41 (New International Version)

41 So Pharaoh said to Joseph, "I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt."

Joseph's promotion from a mere kid to someone with authority
[with great powers comes great responsibility - quoted from our friendly neighborhood Spider-man]

And there was drought in the lands because Pharaoh's dreams came true!
Joseph's brothers came from a far to get some grains for food from him because he was the one who stored the grains to prepare for the drought.

[the most likely action Joseph would take in most people's opinion would be to let them starve for selling Joseph away...]

But Joseph was thinking otherwise.

God has a plan for every one of us, if only we will just move our ass feet and let it walk.

The story revolves around Joseph and there were 3 points leading it:
1. The Promise!
2. ..with perseverance..
3. Sweet Promotion.

That was the message part, as for worship, it was a spectacular session done by PG165 as it got everyone to move their 'ehem' around lah`...

I'm sure they had fun while they were in Kuantan;
okay, so I'll let them say it for themselves...just follow on here.
